At the meeting, China Shipbuilding Power Group announced the first independently developed "Nuclear Diesel One" 6MW level nuclear emergency diesel generator set in China. At the same time, the China Shipbuilding Hudong Heavy Machinery Nuclear Power Service Center, a subsidiary of China Shipbuilding Power Group, was officially unveiled and established, marking that China has fully mastered the core technology of independent design, research and development, and manufacturing of this level of unit, filling the gap in the localization of high-power emergency power equipment in nuclear power plants. This will significantly enhance China's emergency response and safety operation and maintenance capabilities for nuclear power plant accidents, and further consolidate the foundation for the localization and independent development of key supporting equipment for nuclear power in China.

It is understood that in terms of performance parameters, the comprehensive strength of the unit comprehensively benchmarks the international advanced level: the diesel engine has a 100% working condition power of 7000 kW, the unit has a 100% power of 6600 kW, the unit start-up time is less than 10 seconds, the average time between failures is greater than 2000 hours, and the average repair time of the diesel engine is less than 4 hours. It has significant advantages such as fast start-up response, high operational reliability, strong loading capacity, and convenient operation and maintenance.
As nuclear power units gradually enter the peak period of maintenance, the traditional decentralized maintenance mode is no longer able to adapt to the new situation and requirements of nuclear power safety, especially the shortcomings such as insufficient on-site maintenance capabilities, lagging spare parts supply, and long maintenance cycles are becoming increasingly prominent.
