To celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Information Services Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the 21st that a series of special discounts and activities will be launched to celebrate the National Day with citizens and tourists. 
In terms of public transportation, MTR will distribute 77000 electronic one-way trips through a lottery on October 1st; On that day, citizens can take the full line of passenger trams for free, as well as some ferry routes of Star Ferry and Fuyu Ferry; Children can specify payment methods to take most of the daytime exclusive bus routes of KMB, Long Win Bus, Citybus, and New Lantao Bus for free. Greater Bay Area Airlines launches flight discounts, offering a 7% discount on all flights except charter flights purchased during the promotion period.
In terms of culture, arts, and leisure, commercial cinemas in Hong Kong will offer half price theater tickets on October 1st. On the same day, multiple fee based recreational facilities and museum exhibitions under the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Special Administrative Region Government, as well as the Hong Kong Wetland Park under the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department of the Special Administrative Region Government, were opened for free. The Hong Kong Antiquities and Monuments Office, the 14 projects of the Revitalising Historic Buildings Partnership Scheme, the Police Museum, the Grand Gallery, and the Creative Alliance will also offer different discounts, including the addition of free guided tours.
In addition, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will hold the "National Day Horse Racing Day" at the Sha Tin Racecourse on October 1st, during which citizens can enter the public stands of Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourse for free. Ngong Ping 360 and Hong Kong Ocean Park will offer ticket discounts, while the Peak Tram and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hong Kong will give souvenirs to ticket holders until sold out.
In terms of food and consumption, it is preliminarily estimated that over 2000 restaurants and merchants will offer dining discounts on October 1st. Some public markets under the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department will offer different discounts. From October 1st to 7th, citizens can purchase designated products at a discount of 7.7% through "Fresh Hong Kong Products" physical stores, online stores, or mobile applications. Different shopping malls and department stores also offer discounts on dining, consumption, parking, and more.
