The Xijiang Grand Bridge is located in Zhaoqing City, Guangdong Province, with a total length of 8324 meters. The main bridge spanning the Xijiang Class I waterway is 1307.6 meters long and adopts a three tower composite beam cable-stayed bridge structure. The average height of the three main towers is about 170 meters. The construction scale of the bridge is large, the technical standards are high, and the navigation control is strict, which is a key node project that restricts the progress of the entire high-speed railway line construction.
The 76th main tower of the bridge that has been capped this time is located in the complex karst area of Xijiang. The construction area is situated in the golden waterway of Xijiang, where daily shipping is busy. Coupled with complex climate conditions such as water level fluctuations during flood season and frequent typhoons, it poses multiple challenges to the safety of high-altitude tower construction and water operations. During construction, the construction team established an intelligent management platform to achieve precise detection of karst, automated inspection of riverbed cover layer and drilling pile quality, automated temperature control of large volume concrete, and intelligent monitoring of hydraulic climbing formwork, effectively ensuring construction quality and progress.
The Zhuhai Zhaoqing High speed Railway is the first high-speed railway with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour independently invested, constructed and managed by Guangdong Province, connecting Zhuhai, Jiangmen, Foshan, Zhaoqing and other places. The main line is connected to the under construction Guangzhou New Airport, the aviation hub of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
