On August 20th, the "2026 Report on the Development of the Humanoid Robot Industry" organized and compiled by the Chinese Association of Humanoid Robots and Embodied Intelligence was released at the 2026 World Robot Conference. The report conducts in-depth analysis and judgment from five dimensions: industry overview, development trend, technology map, industry chain panorama, and application scenarios. It mainly introduces the connotation and extension, strategic significance, and trend outlook of humanoid robots, with a focus on analyzing the development situation of five countries including China, the United States, Germany, South Korea, and Japan. It systematically sorts out the core technology system of humanoid robots, draws a detailed panorama of the humanoid robot industry chain, and comprehensively analyzes seven typical application scenarios. The report presents four core findings.
One is that technological innovation has entered a new stage of "cluster emergence". Technology is accelerating iteration, and the pace of high-end and intelligent whole machine products is accelerating. The environmental perception, planning and decision-making, motion control and other abilities of humanoid robots continue to enhance, and their adaptability and stability in complex environments continue to improve.
The second is to achieve a dual leap of "quality, efficiency, and energy level" in the industrial chain. We have formed a full industry chain manufacturing capability for humanoid robots, from key chips and components to complete machines.
The third is that industry applications have entered the deep water zone of "comprehensive deployment". Humanoid robots are accelerating their transition from small-scale trials to regular deployment and large-scale applications. In the first half of 2026, the shipment volume of humanoid robots in China has exceeded 40000 units, and the global market share has further increased to 97%.
The fourth is the formation of a new paradigm of "symbiosis and prosperity" in ecological construction. Accelerate the construction of a "four in one" industrial ecosystem led by standard development, based on talent cultivation, expanded through international cooperation, and guaranteed by innovative infrastructure construction.
