The Chinese Navy's 83 ship formation has successfully completed its comprehensive overseas internship and visit mission

On August 17th, the Chinese Navy's 83 ship fleet, consisting of Qi Jiguang and Kunlun Mountain ships, successfully completed a comprehensive overseas internship and visited four countries including Russia before returning to Dalian. Representatives of officers, soldiers, and their families went to the dock to greet them. The trainees lined up in different areas and waved to the welcoming crowd.
The trainees participating in this onboard mission come from the Naval Engineering University, Naval Submarine Academy, and Naval Dalian Naval Academy, as well as 19 foreign military personnel from 10 countries including Brazil, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Vietnam who are also on board for mixed training.
Since setting sail on June 15th, the formation has sailed through the Yellow Sea, East China Sea, Sea of Japan, South China Sea and other sea areas, crossing important waterways such as the Tsushima Strait, Taiwan Strait, and Karimata Strait, lasting for 64 days and covering a total distance of over 11000 nautical miles. The formation insists on sailing, training, researching, and improving along the way. While completing teaching arrangements, it also organizes trainees to carry out on-the-job internships, honing their comprehensive skills in the open sea and ocean, laying a solid foundation for their future duties.
During the visit, the formation conducted friendly visits to four countries including Russia, Vietnam, Brunei, and Indonesia, organized four deck receptions, held 16 batches of ship opening activities, and invited foreign citizens, Chinese and overseas Chinese, and foreign military representatives to board and visit the ships. The formation also carries out various activities such as ship visits, sports friendly matches, and exchanges and discussions with local universities with the visiting country's navy, effectively enhancing mutual trust and friendship with the visiting country.
In this overseas comprehensive internship visit mission, the formation coordinated and focused on maritime training, ideological and political education, and internship teaching. All officers, soldiers, and students worked continuously and completed various tasks with high standards. This task promotes the precise integration of college teaching and military training, effectively enhances the naval professional ethics, job competency, and international perspective of the students, showcases the good image of the Chinese Navy, and practices the concept of a community with a shared future for the ocean.
