In the first half of this year, the number of new orders, completed orders, and orders held by China's sea vessels increased comprehensively, and the international market share remained leading, with a year-on-year growth of 105.2% in new orders.
On August 3rd, the Ministry of Natural Resources released national statistics on marine economy, showing that in the first half of the year, the number of new orders, completed orders, and orders held by Chinese ships increased by 105.2%, 34.8%, and 37.1% year-on-year, respectively. The global market share of the three indicators reached 73.9%, 55.4%, and 63.3% respectively, maintaining its leading position in the world.
The product structure of China's maritime vessels continues to be optimized, and the delivery level, quantity, and quality have both improved. In the first half of the year, more than 40 large container ships, ultra large crude oil ships, and large liquefied natural gas transport ships with a capacity of over 10000 containers were delivered. Multiple shipping companies have full production tasks, with some orders scheduled after 2029. A number of high-end ships, including the world's first 10800 car LNG dual fuel vehicle transport ship, the world's first 24000 TEU methanol dual fuel container ship, and the first 740 TEU pure electric intelligent container ship in China, have been delivered successively, steadily improving the supply capacity of high-end ship manufacturing.
