The Macao SAR government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China signed a cooperation agreement on developing new quality productive forces and promoting new industrialization at the headquarters of the SAR government on the 30th.
The Secretary for Economic and Financial Affairs of the Macao SAR Government, Wu Huixian, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technology, Xiong Jijun, respectively signed cooperation agreements with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on behalf of the Macao SAR Government. Both sides will strengthen exchanges and cooperation around supporting the development of new quality productive forces and promoting new industrialization in Macau, and help Macau better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country.
After the signing ceremony, Wu Huixian held a special discussion with a delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on topics such as promoting new industrialization, digital infrastructure, and the construction of the Macao Science and Technology Research and Development Industrial Park during the 15th Five Year Plan period. The delegation also conducted research on the Macau University of Science and Technology.
The Ministry of Finance and Economics stated that signing cooperation agreements, conducting special symposiums and research activities are important measures for Macau to align with the national development strategy, help better integrate into and serve the overall development of the country, promote scientific and technological cooperation and industrial development during the "15th Five Year Plan" period, deepen scientific and technological innovation exchanges and industrial docking. In the future, both sides will push for the implementation and effectiveness of various cooperation measures as soon as possible.
