25 cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation projects won awards at the Hangzhou Regional Competition of "Maker China"

On July 30th, the 11th "Maker China" (Hangzhou Division) and "Zhejiang Good Project" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition ended in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. After competition, a total of 25 projects from the enterprise and entrepreneurship groups won awards, covering cutting-edge scientific and technological innovation fields such as high-end optical core chips and 4D world models.
The purpose of this competition is to discover and cultivate excellent projects and entrepreneurial teams, promote the transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized enterprises, and promote specialized and innovative development. Since its launch, a total of 372 projects have been registered to participate.
The competition lasted for two months and a total of 18 roadshows were held. During this period, a series of activities such as project roadshow guidance, investment and financing docking, and policy preaching will be carried out simultaneously, providing full cycle and full chain innovation and entrepreneurship empowerment services for participating enterprises and entrepreneurial teams.
Li Mingsong, Deputy Director of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, introduced that since the "Maker China" (Hangzhou Division) competition was held for eleven years, a total of 844 enterprises have been helped to enter the innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, 492 have grown into provincial-level specialized, refined, special and new enterprises in Zhejiang, and 108 have been rated as national level specialized, refined, special and new "little giant" enterprises. It has become an important platform for the gradient cultivation of small and medium-sized enterprises in Hangzhou.
Compared to previous years, this competition has stronger hardcore technology attributes, with the number of participating projects in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence doubling, and participating companies possessing many invention patents. This year's competition has further deepened regional linkage, setting up regional competition sessions in five key industrial clusters in Linping District, Yuhang District, Lin'an District, Fuyang District, and Xiaoshan District, bringing the competition to enterprises and grassroots level.
It is reported that more than 70 professional judges from investment institutions, universities, and entrepreneurship service platforms participated in the evaluation of this year's competition. Financial support was provided by various forces such as Hangzhou United Bank, Hangzhou Science and Technology Innovation Group Co., Ltd., and Hangzhou Financing Guarantee Group Co., Ltd. Hangzhou will also provide assistance in terms of policies and resource docking, using competition to attract intelligence and promote development, to help small and medium-sized enterprises embark on the path of innovative development.(Outlook New Era)
