AI-powered stock recommendation? Investing without a single click to get rich!

2026-07-13

Active trading in the A-share market, illegal stock recommendation chaos also took the opportunity to rise. But this time, the fraudsters had an additional card in their hand labeled “AI.”

Many people fell victim to these scams. Some were lured into so-called “internal communication groups,” while others downloaded counterfeit brokerage app versions. Still others followed “AI predictions” to buy stocks with unknown origins.

These scams follow a clear pattern: criminals collect publicly available footage of well-known analysts and investors and use AI-based face-swapping and voice cloning to create fake audio and video content. Falsify the identity of licensed institutions and practitioners to commit fraud; Through high imitation APP, fake websites and strange links to investors to illegal platforms; Then use tactics such as "bottom-line earnings," "insider messaging," and "high winning rate models" to induce the transfer of money.

Technology tools have lowered the threshold for fraud, while deceptiveness is rising. Since last year, dozens of securities companies have suffered APP counterfeiting and identity fraud. Some securities companies received more than 1,900 clues of counterfeiting cases in 2025, involving a total of 30 million yuan.

Remove the outer layer of “AI” and you’ll find that the core of the deception remains unchanged.First create a "professional persona," then create a success story, then post a bunch of profit screenshots and chat records, create an atmosphere of "everybody else has made it, what are you hesitating about?" and finally lead people to charged services, fake software and illegal platforms. In the past, it relied on “insider information” and “teacher-guided trading” to attract clients. Now, it simply adds an additional layer of “AI algorithms” and “big data analysis.”

The key reason why some people are always deceived by such scams is to catch the eagerness of some investors. Once the market is hot, the urge to grab bull stocks and "make fast money" is easily aroused. It's this anxiety that the scammers target. Monthly bottom-line earnings, winning new shares, and several times earnings - promises that clearly go against basic financial common sense can still work repeatedly under the guise of "accurate forecasting."

The phenomenon of “AI-driven stock recommendations” should not be viewed merely as a typical form of internet fraud.Using AI technology to package illegal stock recommendations and leveraging platform traffic to amplify misleading information not only harms investors but also disrupts market order. When a large number of investors are induced to follow the trend of buying shares in a certain company, the wrongdoers can accurately ship at a high level. When false AI-generated stock recommendation information is disseminated en masse on social media platforms, the market’s pricing mechanism is distorted.

Therefore, the regulatory authorities have clearly included the use of artificial intelligence to illegally promote stocks, spread rumors, and illegal trading in the fight against such chaos.

One issue that must not be underestimated is that AI-facilitated illegal stock recommendations are creating a dangerous illusion: that investing can be reduced to simply “pressing a button.”It is as if you install software and follow the prompts to buy and sell, and you can make steady profits. This perception negates the prudence and independent judgment that investment should have. There is no guaranteed model for the market, nor is there always the right algorithm. The more simplistic the investment is and the more certain the returns are, the more alarming it is.

There is no "one-click wealth creation" in investing, but scams always pretend to be "smart shortcuts." Investors should maintain basic common sense in order to guard against such scams. The "three checks and three no" repeatedly reminded by regulators is not complicated, but also practical: checking credentials, checking platforms, check accounts. Don't trust, don't click, don'd follow. Anyone who commits to "guaranteed income" and "guaranteed income," who requires downloading strange APP, clicking on unknown links, and transferring money to individual accounts, should immediately sound the alarm.

The more active the market, the more important it is to stay sober. Those individuals who promote AI under the guise of making money seemingly effortlessly may not actually be helping you manage your finances; instead, they might be eyeing your wallet. (Looking ahead to a new era)
