The SCO Green Energy Academy Forum was held in Kyrgyzstan

The third SCO Green Energy Academician Forum was held on the 2nd in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Academics and experts, heads of universities, and representatives of research institutions from China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and other countries gathered to discuss the development of green energy and regional scientific cooperation.
Sadrakov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, stated that green energy is becoming an important factor in maintaining energy security, promoting steady economic growth, and advancing technological development. Kyrgyzstan is willing to further deepen cooperation within the framework of the SCO and promote the implementation of joint scientific and technological and investment projects in the field of green energy.
Liu Jiangping, the Chinese ambassador to Kyrgyzstan, stated that China actively promotes a green and low-carbon transformation. It has already established the world’s largest renewable energy system and is a significant contributor to global green development. China is willing to work with all parties to actively implement the Global Development Initiative, deepen green energy cooperation, and contribute the “Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s strength” to improving the global energy governance system.
Zhang Liqun, President of Xi’an Jiaotong University, stated that promoting sustainable development requires the integration of diverse expertise and the concerted efforts of all parties. Xi'an Jiaotong University will leverage its academic strengths to continuously expand cooperation in joint research, platform development, technology transfer, and talent cultivation with universities and research institutions in Central Asia, thus contributing to the region’s transition to green and low-carbon development.
The forum was co-hosted by Xi’an Jiaotong University, Kyrgyzstan International University, and the Kyrgyzstan National Academy of Sciences. (Outlook New Era)
