How can the people's courts continuously integrate a correct view of political achievements into judicial adjudication work, and effectively serve overall situation and the people through justice? On July 2, the Supreme People's Court held a conference on the Party building work of the people's courts. Zhang Jun Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Supreme People's Court, put forward requirements for strengthening the Party building work of the people's courts in the new era and the new journey.
Combining the situation and tasks of adjudication work, Zhang Jun required that the people's courts must always adhere to strictly governing the Party and the court in all respects strictly strengthen the construction of discipline and style, and strictly implement education, management, and supervision, ensuring impartiality and uprightness with firm Party spirit. They must always adhere to serving the overall situation and the people through justice, deeply integrate Party building with the main responsibilities of adjudication and enforcement, and organically unify political awareness with the rule of law.
Accurately grasp the basic focus of building in the people's courts in the new era and on the new journey. Zhang Jun emphasized that the more complex the situation and the more arduous the tasks, the more the building of the people's courts must be strengthened. The Party's organizational line in the new era must be fully implemented to enhance the political and organizational functions of primary-level organizations, ensuring that every Party member works, lives, and strives under organizational guidance and institutional constraints. They must persevere in rectifying conduct and enforcing discipline, adhering to higher standards and requirements, and educating judicial officers to consciously take the initiative and act proactively in matters that benefit the maintenance of judicial fairness, impartiality, and authority, while strictly observing the red line never touching upon matters that damage judicial fairness, impartiality, and authority.
Zhang Jun pointed out that to do well in adjudication and enforcement work, one must first seek truth from facts Party building leadership; if adjudication and enforcement work is not done well, the reasons can certainly be found in Party building work. The main responsibility for Party building must be solidified for the leadership groups of courts at all levels, taking the lead in establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and always planning, deploying, and advancing adjudication and enforcement work under overall leadership of Party building. Party building and business development must be promoted in an integrated manner, firmly establishing the concept of integration, improving the integration mechanism, and enhancing the capacity for integration so that problem discovery relies on Party building, problem investigation looks to Party building, and problem resolution depends on Party building. Party building methods must be continuously innovated to adapt to the of the digital era, the needs of adjudication and enforcement tasks, and the actual situation of the people's courts' workforce, thereby improving the targetedness and effectiveness of Party building.
The conference also held the "50 Years of Glorious Party Membership" commemorative medal presentation ceremony and the "Two Excellences and One Pioneer" commendation meeting of Supreme People's Court. Leaders of the Supreme Court presented the commemorative medals to representatives of the "50 Years of Glorious Party Membership" medal recipients, and awarded prizes to representatives of the "Two Excellences and One Pioneer" winners from the court's organs.
