Hard work and struggle are the political essence and glorious tradition of the Party. Hardship and hardship, jade like success "is an idiom often said by Mao Zedong. He emphasized that hard work and struggle are the style of every Communist Party member and every revolutionary. Excellent party members such as Jiao Yulu, Wang Jinxi, Lei Feng, Gu Wenchang, and Yang Shanzhou all embody the spirit of hard work and struggle. Hard work and integrity are two sides of the same coin. When Gu Wenchang was serving as the secretary of the Dongshan County Party Committee, his family ordered an extra dish from the government canteen and watched a movie without buying tickets. He demanded that the expenses be immediately paid and would never "take advantage of the government". In the new era, party members and cadres should purify their original aspirations through hard work and struggle, safeguard their true colors with integrity and honesty, and ensure that every political achievement can withstand the sunshine and the scrutiny of the people.
Dare to take responsibility is the touchstone of personality strength
The Chinese nation has a fine tradition of taking responsibility since ancient times, and the CPC is a Marxist party with a spirit of taking responsibility. Since its inception, the Party has consciously shouldered the historical responsibility of achieving national independence, people's liberation, national prosperity, and people's happiness. One of the founders of the Party, Li Dazhao, called for the rise and fall of the nation to be the responsibility of every individual, and for the youth of the new Chinese nation to soar forward and shoulder great responsibilities. He shouldered the responsibility of righteousness with iron shoulders and skillfully crafted articles. Under his influence, Mao Zedong, Cai Hesen, and others initiated the organization of the New People's Society, which aimed to "guide the country, inspire writing, and make a mess of the past ten thousand feudal lords". Mao Zedong shouted loudly, "The world belongs to us. The state belongs to our country. Society belongs to our society. If we don't speak, who says? If we don't do, who does?" This demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility.
The responsibility of the people of the CPC is first shown in the courage to step forward at a critical juncture. After the 1927 Nanchang Uprising, when the army was facing setbacks in its southward expansion, morale was low, and it was on the brink of disbandment, Zhu De, who was not the core leader of the uprising, resolutely stepped forward and took on the responsibility of leading the troops out of the predicament. Without Zhu De's step forward, there would not have been the later meeting of the Zhu Mao Red Army, and the history of the Party would have been rewritten. Chen Yi later pointed out that "Commander in Chief Zhu De pointed out a bright future and increased the revolutionary faith of the masses in the darkest days, when the emotions of the masses were low to zero and they were disheartened. This is the greatness of Commander in Chief. Zhu De's greatness stems from the powerful personality demonstrated by his courage to take on responsibilities. Responsibility also manifests in the willingness to offer suggestions and advice on major issues. In early 1948, in response to the "leftist" errors in land reform, Xi Zhongxun proposed the idea of formulating policies based on the different situations of old areas, semi old areas, and new areas, which was affirmed by the Party Central Committee and Mao Zedong. In the same year, Su Yu received three orders to lead his troops across the Yangtze River, but after careful analysis, he suggested to the Party Central Committee to adjust the strategic deployment and delay the action, which was ultimately adopted and made the "first contribution" to the victory of the Huaihai Campaign. Responsibility is more reflected in the courage to face contradictions and difficulties. When Deng Xiaoping returned to work in 1977, he was already 73 years old. He said, "When you come out to work, you can have two attitudes: one is to become an official, and the other is to do some work. I think, who asked you to become a Communist Party member? Since you have become one, you cannot become an official, you cannot have selfish thoughts, you cannot have other choices, and you should honestly fulfill the responsibilities of a Party member. He started from the field of education, dared to confront challenges, made a decisive decision, and restored the college entrance examination that had been interrupted for ten years, changing the fate of countless people.
'Dare to take responsibility' and 'dare to struggle' are mutually supportive and internally unified, jointly forming the spiritual core of Communist Party members in overcoming difficulties. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan in 1945, Chiang Kai shek telegraphed Mao Zedong to negotiate in Chongqing. Party members were concerned about safety and did not agree to his visit, but Mao Zedong, prioritizing the interests of the country and the nation, went without hesitation and took the initiative in history. After the establishment of the People's Republic of China, the United States burned the flames of the Korean War to the banks of the Yalu River. The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China resolutely made the strategic decision of "resisting US aggression and aiding Korea, and defending the country". Peng Dehuai was entrusted with the task of leading troops abroad to fight with a just army, and ultimately achieved a great victory.
General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Whether a cadre can dare to be responsible and take on responsibilities can best reflect their party spirit and style." In the new era and new journey, to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese style modernization, party members and leading cadres need to have the courage to face contradictions and the spirit of daring to take on responsibilities. In the face of right and wrong, we must dare to wield our swords; in the face of contradictions, we must dare to face difficulties; in the face of crises, we must dare to step forward; in the face of mistakes, we must dare to take responsibility; and in the face of unhealthy tendencies, we must dare to fight resolutely. At the same time, we should carry forward the spirit of struggle, strengthen our morale, backbone, and confidence, and do not believe in evil, be afraid of ghosts, and be afraid of pressure. We should move forward in the face of difficulties and face them, and rely on tenacious struggle to open up a new world for career development.
Fulfilling the people is the value destination of the power of personality
Why human problems are the touchstone for testing the nature of a political party or regime. Wholeheartedly serving the people is the fundamental starting point and foothold of all actions of our party, and the fundamental symbol that distinguishes our party from all other political parties. The people are the creators of history and the true heroes. The CPC represents the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people and has no special interests of its own, which is the root of the Party's invincibility. To live up to the people is the core connotation and value purpose of the great spirit of building the Party; The ultimate goal of every Communist Party member's competence is always the word 'people'.
True Communists always remember that they are ordinary members of the working people, coming from the people, rooted in the people, benefiting the people, and even dedicating everything to the people. Zhang Side has gone through the Long March, suffered injuries, served as a fighter and cook, and changed from a squad leader to a soldier, but his job changes have never affected his enthusiasm for serving the people. His name is always associated with "serving the people". Jiao Yulu was entrusted with the task of managing the Lankao sandstorm in the face of danger. For 475 days and nights, he relied on a bicycle and a pair of iron pedals to visit villages, households, and ask for help from the poor. When he braved the wind and snow to visit his fellow villagers and said, 'I am your son,' he showed a sincere emotion of putting the people first. Kong Fansen said, "Every party member and cadre should share the joys and sorrows and destiny with the people. Only in this way can our party have credibility and the country have hope." After retiring, Yang Shanzhou returned to his hometown to plant trees and build an oasis in the once barren mountains, and finally handed over the management rights of the forest farm worth over 300 million yuan to the state free of charge. As long as his life does not end, serving the people does not stop "is a portrayal of his entire life. On the journey of poverty alleviation, more than 1800 Communist Party members sacrificed their lives. Huang Wenxiu said, "Someone must always come back, and I am the one who wants to come back. Only by rooting in the soil can we understand the people. These outstanding Communist Party members have demonstrated their original aspirations and missions through practical actions, and have written the most touching footnote to 'not failing the people'.
As the Communist Party of China has led the people in fighting to establish and develop the People's Republic, it has really been fighting for their support. The leaders of the Party come from the people, rooted in the people, and always put the people in the highest position in their hearts. People, regardless of their size, carefully investigate and inquire about matters that concern them; They take the lead in researching and focusing on planning issues related to national economy and people's livelihood. Mao Zedong called on the whole party to "care about the lives of the masses and pay attention to work methods", requiring "we should spare no effort, work day and night, diligently, and truly study the living and production issues among the people". He personally solved the difficulty of drinking water for the masses, and the story of "never forgetting the people who dug wells when drinking water" has become a collective memory of several generations of Chinese people. Deng Xiaoping always regarded the interests of the people as the highest criterion, emphasizing that the support or disapproval of the people, their approval or disapproval, their happiness or disapproval, and their agreement or disapproval should be the starting point and destination of all work. General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out: "Loving the people is the deepest emotional attachment of Comrade Deng Xiaoping throughout his life, and it will always be the source of strength that Chinese Communists should uphold." General Secretary Xi Jinping's own people's sentiment is equally passionate. When asked about his feelings about being elected as the President of the country, he replied, "I will be selfless and not disappoint the people. I am willing to achieve a state of selflessness and dedicate myself to the development of China." He also said, "Being among the people makes me feel at ease, and being with the people gives me strength. I will be selfless and not disappoint the people. This is my lifelong belief." "I will be selfless" means carrying everyone in my heart, and "not disappoint the people" means benefiting everyone. "I will be selfless and live up to the people", with both iron will and chivalrous tenderness, which is the political character and lofty feelings that the CPC people will always pursue.
Never forget why you started, and your mission can be accomplished. The people of the CPC in the new era should continue to carry forward the fine traditions of the Party, always breathe with the people, share a common destiny, and connect their hearts. They should always take the people's yearning for a better life as the goal of their struggle. With an indomitable spirit and an indomitable attitude of struggle, they should forge ahead towards the grand goal of achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, continue to win people's praise with great personality strength, and write a more splendid chapter of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era.
