The plan proposes the main goals for the construction of a new energy system during the 15th Five Year Plan period, including achieving a comprehensive energy production capacity of 5.8 billion tons of standard coal, comprehensively improving the complementarity and safety resilience of the power system, and achieving diversified and controllable energy imports; Coal and oil consumption have reached their peak, with the proportion of non fossil energy consumption reaching 25%. Wind and solar power generation have exceeded 50% of installed capacity, becoming the main body of electricity installation. The proportion of non fossil energy generation has reached 50%, becoming the main body of electricity generation; Accelerate the construction of a strong, resilient, green, low-carbon, integrated, intelligent and efficient new energy infrastructure system, and preliminarily establish a new power system; The key technology and equipment of the energy industry chain have achieved overall independence and controllability, and have entered the forefront of world energy technology innovation countries; Accelerate the improvement of market and pricing mechanisms to adapt to the new energy system, and establish a unified national electricity market system.
