The reporter learned from the Ministry of Science and Technology that the two national standards, "Specification for Capability Evaluation of Science and Technology Evaluation Institutions" and "Guidelines for Capability Evaluation of Science and Technology Communication", drafted by the Science and Technology Evaluation Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Science and Technology Communication Center of the China Association for Science and Technology, and managed by the National Standardization Technical Committee for Science and Technology Evaluation, have been approved by the State Administration for Market Regulation (National Standards Committee) and officially released recently. The development of the two standards has received strong support from relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Science and Technology. The national standard "Specification for Capability Evaluation of Technology Evaluation Institutions" clarifies the content and grading of capability evaluation of technology evaluation institutions, establishes the evaluation procedures and methods, and stipulates the application and management of evaluation results. This standard provides systematic guidance for the development of technology evaluation institutions, which helps to standardize the construction, evaluation, and management of technology evaluation institutions, promote the professionalization, standardization, and high-quality development of the technology evaluation industry. The "Guidelines for Evaluating Technology Communication Capability" national standard clarifies the principles, indicator system, and basic procedures for evaluating technology communication capability. The release of this standard will help guide technology communication management, service, and research institutions to carry out standardized technology communication evaluation activities, strengthen the construction of technology communication capabilities, promote communication and cooperation among scientific research subjects, and enhance the scientific literacy of the entire population.
