Recently, the Supreme People's Procuratorate issued a notice on the deepening of the "Prosecution and Protection of People's Livelihood" work by procuratorial organs. Based on the continuous implementation of various tasks determined in the 2024 "Prosecution and Protection of People's Livelihood" special action plan, it further proposed three key areas for deepening the "Prosecution and Protection of People's Livelihood" work, namely focusing on key areas and effectively serving high-quality economic and social development; Focus on key groups and continuously strengthen the protection of specific group rights and interests; Grasp the prominent issues of people's livelihood and help alleviate the urgent difficulties and worries of the masses. 16 key tasks have been identified for the in-depth implementation of the "inspection and protection of people's livelihood" work, including: strengthening the handling of civil supervision cases in the fields of finance, real estate, and other livelihood areas; Vigorously carry out the inspection and supervision work in the fields of social security and medical insurance; Continuously deepen the protection of ecological environment and natural resources; Continuously promoting the legal governance of cyberspace; Protecting the healthy growth of minors in accordance with the law; Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of women in accordance with the law; Continuously deepen the protection of the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly. The notice requires that procuratorial organs at all levels across the country should increase their efforts in handling cases, comprehensively use methods such as supervision and correction, public hearings, judicial assistance, interpretation and reasoning, and handle a batch of cases related to people's livelihood that have social impact in accordance with the law. We should continue to focus on improving institutional mechanisms and proactively extend individual case handling to case supervision and social governance.
